Hello! I’m Amy Beck. I am a senior at UE and in my first year of the Doctorate of Physical Therapy. This is my second year as a leader of Encounter, and this year I am leading the Community Team. The Community Team’s focus is about reaching others through service and also building a community among the members. I have a heart for serving others either through organized means like Habitat for Humanity for example, or just during everyday life. I felt God’s calling to become a physical therapist during my senior year of high school, and then felt his nudge to come to UE. After leaving home, I knew it was important to find a core group of Christians to help keep me accountable and to help me grow closer to God. This need was fulfilled through Encounter. Every year I meet more Christians to add to my core group of friends and help me in my journey called life, and I’m excited to meet more this year. Outside of Encounter, I love being with friends and playing either board games or something physically active outside. I love the outdoors and being around people I love!!
My name is Cole Schroer, and I am a junior here at USI. I'm from Bowling Green, Indiana, a small nowhere town just south east of Terre Haute. I graduated from Clay City High School in 2006. After changing my major several...several times, I've decided to get a degree in science teaching for secondary education. While being involved with Encounter I am also a member of USI's track and field team. I also enjoy cycling, basketball, rock climbing...and biology. If you have any questions about Encounter...or me, look me up on facebook or shoot me an e-mail me (caschroer@usieagles.org) and ask away!
Hi! My name is Christine Taney. I am a junior here at USI majoring in diagnostic medical sonography. I have been able to be involved with Encounter since my freshmen year. I'm from Clay City Indiana, but when I am here at school I attend Grace Baptist Church.
Hey, I am Brett Luker. I am 22 and a senior at USI. I am a history major with a minor in political science. I am getting married in less than a year and really excited. This is my second year on leadership with Encounter and I hope to expand my growth and knowledge as a Christian. I have recently felt that call to Youth Ministry and I am planning on pursuing a Master's Degree in Divinity. It is a challenging step, but I believe it is what God has planned for me. I am a musician. I play several instruments but my main focus is the electric guitar. I am in a local Christian band “The Oncoming Storm”. I have felt God has given me musical talent to help further his work through music ministry. I look forward
